Teaching approach

Teaching approach
By “teaching approach” we mean the thinking behind a particular course: how it is planned, organised and executed.

We approach each new course with an open mind and always begin with a dialogue with the client. The materials we use and the teaching methods we apply are based wholly on the expectations and wishes of the client.

When it comes to learning languages, there are many different theories and techniques and it is up to the teacher to decide on the most appropriate methods to use.

Our teachers are highly-qualified and experienced in identifying the most appropriate method and can easily switch between the various teaching approaches, for example between free, uninterrupted conversation and more formal grammar teaching.

Teaching methods
Teaching methods are the exercises and tasks that the students perform in class. These can include conversation work, group activities and individual exercises based on the four tenets of language learning: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Teachers will make use of all these methods, ensuring that classes are as varied as possible. A good sense of humour is a common thread throughout all our courses, as we recognise that learning is most effective in a relaxed and cheerful environment.
