Target audience
This course is aimed at professionals who already use German at work and wish to boost their language skills, enabling them to communicate more effectively with German colleagues or business associates. Students may require a general refresher course or may prefer to develop their vocabulary within a specific subject area.
Course content
The exact content of the course will be determined by the individual requirements of the students. Emphasis will be placed on speaking, reading and listening skills with revision of key German grammar points and correction of common errors. Writing skills may also be included if students request this.
This course is lively and fast-paced and uses a wide variety of resources and practical exercises such as role-play. We use traditional text books as well as authentic texts taken from current publications and the internet and actively encourage students to bring materials from their workplace, ensuring that the vocabulary and role-play situations we work with are as relevant as possible.
Results
By the end of the course, the student will:
- be comfortable speaking and understanding German
- have a considerably wider vocabulary
- have eliminated grammatical errors
- be able to express themselves using more complicated sentences
- have tools to help them test the accuracy of their own speech
- have tools to help them maintain and strengthen their progress
- have greater linguistic confidence.
Course structure
The course can be run with group classes or on a one-to-one basis. We recommend 30-40 lessons, based on 2 - 3 lessons at a time, once or twice per week.
Courses can begin at any point in the year with approximately one week’s notice and can be held at the company premises or at Studieskolen in Borgergade, Copenhagen.
