Business German
Target audience
This course is aimed at business people who wish to boost their fluency, accuracy and confidence in German in key professional situations.
Course content
The course is based on the current linguistic level and professional requirements of the student. Courses are based on a number of specific modules that develop specific skills and expand vocabulary in the student’s area of business. Modules include:
- Business meetings
- Presentations
- Sales and Marketing
- Small talk
- Negotiating
- Public speaking
- Written correspondence
- Report writing
- Finance and accounting
- Telephone skills
Courses are fast-paced and provide a dynamic mix of situational role-play, vocabulary-building, grammar and spelling boosts, analysis of audio and video clips, reading aloud and presentations. Lessons are conducted entirely in German by teachers who are German native speakers.
Results
By the end of the course the student will have:
- achieved a greater command of written and spoken German covering a variety of professional scenarios, giving them confidence to deal with a wider range of German-speaking business situations
- built up an extensive collection of practical skills and relevant vocabulary enabling them to represent their organisation more effectively in German.
Course structure
The course can be run with group classes or on a one-to-one basis. We recommend 30-40 lessons, based on 2 - 3 lessons at a time, once or twice per week.
Courses can begin at any point in the year with approximately one week’s notice and can be held at the company premises or at Studieskolen in Borgergade, Copenhagen.
